It really troubles me when I'm out and about, and I see women wearing really tight or minimal clothing. The word of God says we are to dress modest, as the queens of the most High. "Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire." 1 Timothy 2:9. We are to have on respectable attire that is fit for the Kingdom, and be very careful about wearing certain jewelry and even nail polish, as these things can be not only distractions, but are used as tools by the enemy. Dressing modest also shows that you not only have respect for yourself, but the Heavenly Father who created you. Its also good to remember, your 1st impression is always your last, so wearing bonnets or tight dresses, will not leave a positive impression by people that you may come in contact with.
Another great thing to remember is, dressing un-modest can cause other Men to lust and have prying eyes, which is something God is not pleased with and, causes adultery. "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Matthew 5:27-28 . "Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands." 1 Peter 3:3-5 Just like other aspects of the Bible, God created modesty for a reason, as there are drawbacks if not followed. You have to remember, just because a outfit may look cute, doesn't mean that it may be fit for you. You have to ask yourself the important questions, and examine your inner heart. "Will this outfit glorify God?" "Will this outfit draw the wrong kind of attention?" Or "Will this outfit honor my Heavenly Father?" Remember, you are a queen of the most High, and what's on the inside is more important than what's on the outside. You will also attract what you are! ~Have a blessed and prosperous week ~ We have now entered into the year 2023! This is the year to move forward in God's wisdom, grace and true obedience to Christ. God will take our obedience however he can because he wants us to enjoy the incredible fruits of his perfect will. His desire is always to love us to a place where our obedience would be a natural overflow of our love for him. He longs for us to live a lifestyle of love-based obedience.
John 14:15 says very simply, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” Jesus’ words here are a promise. If we truly love him, we will keep his commandments. If we truly have love in our hearts, we can’t help but be obedient to him. I long to grow to the place where I am so in love with Jesus that I long to choose him in every situation. I long to be a servant so in love with my King that I would die for him or anyone else he asked me to. The love of God is so real, powerful, and transformational that it can mold and shape us into people who no longer live for this temporal world but seek an everlasting, invisible kingdom. If we are people who let God love us in every moment, we will naturally be obedient to God’s perfect will for us. Romans 6:17-18 says, “But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.” Through the powerful sacrifice of Jesus, you have been transformed into a person who has gained freedom from the law of sin. You are now enslaved to a lifestyle of right living whereby you obey your King out of devotion to him. Take time in guided prayer today to receive the transformational love of your heavenly Father. Allow his love to lay a foundation on which you pursue wholehearted obedience. May you be filled with affection for your King today as you receive the unconditional love he has for you. “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” John 14:21. ~Have a blessed & prosperous week~ In Joshua 6 we read about the fall of Jericho. Jericho was in Canaan and the Canaanites practiced idolatry. They believed Joshua’s God was a “Nature God” because they had heard about the Red Sea being parted and the Jordan parted, and they considered Him a “War God” because of how they had already defeated Sihon and Og.
Our God does not confine Himself to nature or war. He is the God of all. He is The Author and Perfecter of our faith, The Beginning and the End, The Maker of time and space Who is not restricted by time nor space.God doesn’t care about the walls you have built either. He can demolish them anytime that He wants. When Joshua went into battle, he already knew that God was delivering Jericho into their hands. The truth is Joshua was fighting an adversary that was already defeated. When we fight spiritual battles, we must remember that the battle has already been won by Jesus. We will fight battles, but the war has already been won, and your adversary is unarmed. All he can do is get you to forget that you have won. The battle that most of us are losing, is in our forgetting. We forget that we are more than conquerors. Any walls that have been erected by the enemy in your life have to be demolished if you want true victory.Strongholds of any sort, especially strongholds of the mind, must be demolished so that you can fight and win spiritually. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds." Have a blessed and prosperous week!~ Everyone likes to talk about the virtuous woman in Bible without talking about how she got to that place. The way she lived her life reveals an answer – she developed wisdom, and as a result, her household was peaceful and productive. There is a shift required when you are ready to become a virtuous woman, and even in this – the Bible provides a roadmap.
There is a difference between being a "girl" and being a "woman." She says that “just because you're a female of a certain age doesn't mean that you qualify to be a woman - a woman is someone who has cultivated her spirit and mind with wisdom in key areas of life.” A woman embodies the qualities that she wants to experience in the people around her. A female who is still a "girl" carries an expectation that other people should have the qualities that she needs for them to have, whether she has them or not. She can talk to people “any kind of way” but gets mad when other people do the same to her. The results that a “girl” receives in her life will consistently reflect her lack of wisdom. God is the source of our radiance, and we also have established that wisdom is given by God when you ask for it. A virtuous woman releases control, leans into God and asks for wisdom. When you cultivate yourself as a woman, you boldly take responsibility for asking God what he needs from you, as well as answering the questions God is asking you, so think about those areas today and ask God for guidance!! Proverbs 31:27 "She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all." Have a blessed & prosperous Week!~ Love is what sets us apart from the world. We identify with Jesus because of love, and often love is not earned or deserved; it is given. Love can be very difficult and requires all our strength. The type of love Peter is defining, is
deep and provides the understanding needed. We are to love each other deeply above all else. When we love others deeply, there is no room for sin to fester and cause bitterness. We can forgive sins, focus forward, mend relationships, and leave injustice in the capable hands of Christ. This is not easy, but with love it is possible. The love God shows us stands as a direct contrast to the love media and the world tries to sell. It is a love that is not tainted by sin. We can choose to cover sin with love, as God does for us. Start by walking in love and asking God to help guide and lead you in this right direction. 1 Peter 4:8- "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." Have a blessed & prosperous week!~ The story, recorded in Luke 8, of Jesus' voyage with His disciples across the lake shows that He is Lord of the universe because the words and deeds of His power are very real. There are several things we can ponder through this story.
First, life can be described as a journey or a voyage. The Lord Jesus never promised a journey of life without obstacles or a life voyage without storms. But He did promise to be with us along the way. We can never predict what will happen in the middle of our life journey, but God promises that we will arrive at the final destination with Him. Isn't this a precious guarantee? No matter what we experience along the way, God will never leave us alone. This shows that He is God Immanuel, the God who is always with us during every step of our lives. Second, Jesus asked His disciples, "Where is your faith?" Let's put faith into our every step. We can only see the works of God by faith. We ignite that fire of faith in the decisions we make. However, faith does not always keep us out of the storms of life, because God often allows those storms to make our faith stronger. The Bible says that without faith we can't please the Lord (Hebrews 11:6). Third, trust God and remain calm because therein lies our strength (Isaiah 30:15). Storms in life often make us panic. We become confused and decide to take shortcuts, which unfortunately often cause the problem to become bigger. Being still is a habit that we need to practice constantly so that we can hear God’s voice when the storm comes. The disciples were surprised when Lord Jesus calmed the wind. We can trust and depend on God only to the extent we know his character. As we learn more about God and His great power and love, it becomes easier for us to trust Him. That is why we need to study God's Word, so we learn more about what God is like. As we recognize more of God's character, we can trust and worship Him more deeply. Have a blessed & prosperous week! “I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.”
We are constantly surrounded by the shouts of the world telling us that we can do anything and be anything that we want, as long as we work hard enough, try often enough, or buy enough stuff. We can earn that promotion at work on our own if we’re simply better than everyone else. We can build a fabulous life for ourselves as long as we have enough, make enough, and surround ourselves with the right people. In God’s kingdom, we are at our strongest when we are weak, and we are our most independent when we are dependent on God. It does not mean that we should do all things, BUT that we can find joy as we rely on God to empower and equip us to do the work He calls us to do. Paul took the time at the end of his letter to the church in Philippi to show his appreciation for their support of his ministry. He noted his joy came from the Lord, not from his circumstances. Although he had experienced times of need and times of abundance (Philippians 4:12), Paul shared that true contentment came from understanding his strength came from Jesus. In Jesus, we are empowered to navigate all that life has for us through the strength we have in Him. When our joy and our identity are rooted in Christ, our circumstances will not shake us. Our consistent, joy–filled, lives will be a witness to the grace and love of Jesus who sustains us in all things and through all things. "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9. Idol worship is the 1st sin that God mentions in the Ten Commandments, as this is not pleasing unto him. Exodus 20:4 also says "You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea." God is our ONLY Savior and the one we MUST worship and keep as the head of our lives. Checking horoscopes, calling Psychics to predict your future, and going to Palm readers are ways of participating in idolatry!
We are not to put our trust or participate in these things, as they also stem from witchcraft. When you put anything before God, we engage in the active practice of idols, so you must beware. Remember, your Job is just a resource, your Spouse is a resource, doing things to build the acquisition of wealth is just a resource, but God is THE source and is the one who is providing for you! Nothing shall come before him. He created all things, he is omnipresent and he is all knowing. Matthew 6:33 says "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We must seek him first, we must pray and discern before making any decisions so that God can guide and lead you in the direction he has laid out for you. John 14:6 "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me. I confess and repent fully, if I have put anything or anyone before you. Help me to know and practice true worship of you, because you hold my life and my future is in your hands. Amen! Have a blessed and prosperous week!~ Forgiveness needs to be exercised and managed. It doesn’t mean forgiving in advance for the next twenty years. That’s impossible. Rather, managing forgiveness means waking up and saying, “Just for today I choose forgiveness & tomorrow I do the same thing. “ I’ve noticed that when other people mess up, we call on God’s justice, but when we mess up, we’re a big fan of His mercy. We judge ourselves by our intentions and other people by their actions. Our standard should be uniform all the way around.
We must also remember that vengeance is the Lord's and he will repay against anyone who has done you wrong(Deuteronomy 32:35). Forgiveness is choosing to let go of an obligation someone else owes you. We must also remember what Matthew 6:14-15 says- “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” God also wants us to wake up every day and trust Him for that day. Tomorrow you do the same thing. The day after do the same thing. His mercies are new every morning. The Bible says that today is the day of salvation (2 Cor. 6:2), meaning we should live in the now. Jesus said each day has enough trouble of its own, so don’t worry about tomorrow (Matt. 6:34). It’s a process of learning to lean on God, a mental pattern and a lifestyle we must develop. Have a blessed & prosperous Week~! For this week, I want to talk about the "slap" that showcased on everyone's television screens. A lot of people became infatuated with it and believed that it was real, when it was truly staged. As discussed in a previous blog, the entire media is controlled by the so- called elites and Masons. We're in a spiritual battle and we need our almighty Heavenly Father every day.
This incident that took place was nothing more than a ritual for both Will Smith and Chris Rock. This incident was also done for ratings, due to the decrease in ratings over the past 2 years. This is also why Will Smith was displaying the free Mason hand symbol while he was receiving his reward. The entertainment industry is vile and a lot of your Actors and Musicians are nothing more than puppets being controlled by their Handlers and other Entertainment Executives being used by Satan. Remember, everything that you see is not as it seems. Wake up and stop falling for, and believing everything that you see on TV to be true, while the ones who are setting these things up are laughing the whole time. William Shakespeare even said that "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Don't be the type of person to fall for everything because at that point, you will fall for anything. This is why Jesus said that we must use discernment and righteously judge(Matthew 7). Next time you hear or see something like this come up, you can laugh at the enemy because you didn't fall victim to his lies or schemes. Jesus even laughs at the wicked all day long, so with Jesus Christ we have already won the battle and Satan is defeated! Psalm 37:13 "But the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming." Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
