Words have Power

Read Now

Be mindful of the words you speak because death and life is in the power of tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21). Jesus was very specific about this because he knew how serious this is. You need to be careful about what you are speaking out of your mouth, because it can come to past. Even in certain situations or circumstances, you speak those things as though they were! For instance, if you live in an apartment, and you wish to own a home someday, you must speak those things into existence and believe that what you pray for shall come to past.

If you are seeking a new career or better position, speak it and believe it. If you only have $5 left in your bank account, you don’t look at what you see, but must speak and believe that you are wealthy and have more than enough. Yes, you also need to make sure you are budgeting and handling money appropriately, but the key point is that you must speak what you are believing and not going off what you see at hand. As it says in the word, it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). Walking by faith and not by sight is very critical in a true believer’s faith walk and we are justified by faith (Romans 5:1).

As you are building your relationship with Christ, this may not come easy, but the more you seek his word, fast, and pray, the easier it will be, because your faith will have increase. Jesus said, if you just have a mustard seed of faith and start there, the possibilities and everything that he can do within you, will be infinite.  When we are weak, God is strong, and we can do all things through him that strengthens and must apply this word into our daily lives.

Remember, God is our El-Shaddai, meaning he is an all-sufficient sustaining God, and he will supply all our needs according to his riches and glory (Philippians 4:19). If while walking in faith and increasing your wisdom within Christ, the enemy will try to buffet you and place negative thoughts or discouragement in your mind, but you must immediately cast them down and rebuke them. As it states in 2 Corinthians 10:5, “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

In this world, we need God every day, and the walk may not always be easy, but with him, anything is possible. Again, monitor what you speak, monitor what you listen, monitor what you watch to and ask the Lord to constantly guard your heart and renew a right spirit within you. Regardless of your situation or how you feel, your faith should not be dictated on this. You must always remember what the word of God says, and that God’s word is always true and never changes. John 17:17 “ Sanctify them by[a] the truth; your word is truth.”

I challenge you to reflect on God’s word and start putting everything into action. Start in the beginning of the bible and read the chapters, even if it’s for only 30 minutes a day, and build yourself up from there. God’s word is true, pure and we cannot live on bread alone, but by every word of God. (Luke 4:4) We cannot do anything without him and if you try, you will fail miserably, so pickup your sword of defense against the enemy and always remember to believe and stand on God’s word by faith and not your circumstance. Speak life and not death!

Blessings,

Becoming a new Creature

Read Now

Matthew 18:3 "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter into the kingdom of Heaven."
When I became saved, I read this scripture it really stood out to me, as I pondered and reflected on what this truly meant. God was saying to me that in order to truly draw close to him and live out his word, you must become like little children. Little children are willing, eager to learn and of pure innoncence, so this is how we must be with God. Once we begin to read the word, then we will gain wisdom and understanding. Also, the more you soak in God's word, you will become that new creature/person that God designed for your life when he created you.

Growing up while attending Church, I remember being told that we were born into sin and this speaks volumes. After what happened with Adam and Eve in the garden, havoc was caused and things were destroyed. Satan also fell to earth after believing that he could be bigger than the one and only creator, Jesus Christ!
Since Satan fell here, he has deceived many and has allowed things such as sin, seem cool and glorified, when in reality it is not. If you don't repent from sinful ways and ask God to enter into your heart, then you will fall victimized to Satan's attacks and schemes that he wants for your life. You will stay stuck in the ways of what Satan likes and fall farther away from God, so this is why God says we must become like little children, by willing and eager to learn of and study his word. Doing this not only allows the word to enter into your heart, but once you do so, you will gain the fear of the Lord and make godly, wise decisions in your everyday life.

Matthew 16:24 "Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
Turn from sin, choose to follow after God and start reading his word from beginning to end. The bible is the bread, truth and life and was written for the edifying of our souls. Following the biblical principles also allows you to tap into your true destiny that God has called for you and you can live out the biblical principles, and not the way of the world."

Romans 12:2 2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
